It is evident that even the portrayal of Jhansi Ki Rani on the big screen is a task. What the fierce lady, Queen of Jhansi did in real life was unimaginable. Now, actress Kangana Ranaut is trying to step into her shoes which is an utmost difficult task. The queen used to fight enemies and ride horses amidst war scenes while having a baby with her in real life, we can only imagine and respect her bravery! While shooting for the film, Kangana has injured herself once again on the sets. Earlier, she got a deep cut on her forehead at a sword fighting sequence and now her leg is injured.
Kangana RanautIn the scene, Kangana had to jump over the 40 feet wall of the Jodhpur’s Marangarh fort. While attempting to do so, the actress did not land properly and while trying to save the child that was ties to her like the real Queen of Jhansi, she got hurt herself. She was immediately rushed to the hospital and after the reports came in it was revealed that she had a ligament tear and has been advised bed rest for at least two weeks.
The shooting will resume as soon as Kangana is fit and fine to work again. However, major action scenes are completed by now. Manikarnika is scheduled to release on 27 April, 2018.
