Makers unveil the Tamil trailer and poster of ‘Padmaavat’!

The makers of the upcoming period film, Padmaavat, have just revealed the Tamil trailer and poster of the movie. During a time when the release of the film has been banned in states like Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, releasing it down south seems the best idea to recover at least some percent of its production cost. But it will be really interesting to see how the film fares in non-Hindi speaking territories, considering the fact that none of the actors featuring in the star cast has any sort of fan following there. Besides Tamil, Padmaavat will also be released in Telugu.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmaavat stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in pivotal roles. Besides these stars, the movie also features Aditi Rao Hydari and Jim Sarbh.

The film has been jointly produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures Pvt Ltd.

It is set to hit screens on 25th January, clashing with the Akshay Kumar starrer Pad Man, which also releases on the same date.
