Mahabharata is the new dream project of Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan!

After the stupendous success of his last release Dangal, which went on to smash several box office records all over the world, Aamir Khan is currently busy with two projects. One is his home production film Secret Superstar and the other one is Yash Raj Film’s much-awaited production, Thugs Of Hindostan. While Secret Superstar is ready to release in coming few weeks, Aamir is still shooting for Thugs Of Hindostan which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. While talking to the media during Secret Superstar promotions, Aamir said that making a film on the epic Mahabharata is his dream.

“My dream project is to make the Mahabharata but I’m afraid of starting the project as I know it will consume at least 15-20 years of my life. My favorite character is Karna, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to play him due to my physique. I may just have to play Krishna. I also liked the character of Arjun. He was the only person who asked Krishna why he had to kill his own people,” Aamir said.

With Khan showing so much interest in the project, we are sure that he definitely has some plans in store. By the way, it’s not just Aamir Khan, many filmmakers in India and around the world are keen to make a film on the Indian epic. It will be interesting to see who brings Mahabharata on celluloid first.
