Bhumi Pednekar , who was last seen in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan , is coming up with her next film, titled Son Chiriya . The team recently wrapped up the movie in Chambal and now it will go into the post-production stage. But before that, Pednekar has unveiled her first look from the film. The actress plays a female dacoit in the Chambal ravines in the ’70s.

In her first look, Bhumi is seen in simple saris and long-sleeved blouses along with a gun. She has kept her makeup minimal to make her character look real.

“While the film’s team shot in Chambal for the last three months in sweltering heat — the temperatures would sometimes shoot up to over 40 degrees in the jungles — the actress prepped for her part by learning the Bundelkhandi dialect and interacting with the local women. The film wrapped up last week. Bhumi plays a young widow,” a source says.

Besides Bhumi Pednekar , Son Chiriya also stars Sushant Singh Rajput . Talented actors Manoj Bajpayee , Ashutosh Rana and Ranvir Shorey play supporting parts. The film has been directed by Abhishek Chaubey and might release in the second half of the year.
