    'Lipstick Under My Burkha' set to release in the US!

    After putting up a great show in India, Alankrita Shrivastava's movie Lipstick Under My Burkha is set to release in the US.

    Filmmaker Alankrita Shrivastava 's movie Lipstick Under My Burkha , which had to fight a long battle with the Censor Board Of Film Certification before its Indian release, is now set to hit screens in the United States. The movie will release there on 15th September.

    Starring Konkona Sen Sharma , Ratna Pathak Shah , Aahana Kumra and Plabita Borthakur in principal roles, the film released in India on 21st July and received an overwhelming response from the critics and audiences alike. Made on a budget of Rs. 6 crores, it grossed over 26 crores at the domestic box office. And now, it is ready for its US premiere.

    Konkona Sen Sharma took to Twitter to share the news. "So pleased that 'Lipstick...' will release in the US!! Please watch," she wrote.

    The film, which explores women's sexuality, has turned out to be one of the most profitable ventures of 2017. Before its Indian release, it had won several awards and accolades at various international film festivals.
