The suspense-thriller ' Kahaani ' made the filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh to bask in the success in the year 2012. Now, the buzz is spread in the town about the second installment of the blockbuster ' Kahaani '. The sequel will feature the versatile Vidya Balan in lead role and as per the buzz, it was Sujoy Ghosh , who was supposed to helm the sequel earlier. And as per the latest reports, Ghosh had been exiled from the project and now, the director Kundan Shah will be arriving with the sequel of the film.

Kundan Shah is a famous persona due to his cult classic ' Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro ' (1983). Demand of Rs. 35 crore from Sujoy Ghosh was not accepted and Kundan Shah got an opportunity to design the sequel. Kundan Shah clarified that though it will be a sequel of ' Kahaani ', it will comprise of an entirely new story spinning around the lead female character.

' Kahaani ' (2012) featuring Vidya Balan , was about a pregnant woman, who comes in Kolkata from London in the pursuit of her lost husband. The film was highly-praised receiving many thumbs ups.
