As far as we see it, Akshay Kumar is making all the right choices in terms of films he is choosing, the roles he is playing and he is simply winning it! In the recent updates about Akshay starring in the movie based on Battle of Saragarhi, it will be produced by Karan Johar in collaboration with Salman Khan ! Fans have been pumped with just the news of it and waiting for more updates on it. And now, as per latest updates surfaced, the title for the film is said to be Kesar, which means Saffron!

The film Kesar will be a gritty period drama, based on Battle of the Saragarhi and reportedly Akshay’s character will be a military commander of 21 Sikh soldiers named Havaldar Ishar Singh who fought against thousands of Afghani invaders! As from the early updates, it seems interesting and challenging, but also the fact that Akshay would certainly pull it off.

The film will be set in 1897 and this period film would likely to be a war drama. Although, this would not be the first time that he has been part of a period film as his last period film were Rustom and Special 26 , which were a super hit film! There was much confusion whether Salman Khan and Karan Johar will be producing this film or not, and even a news of production been shelved. To which all stars been clearing off and also confirming it to be happening! We all would love to see Akshay Kumar yet again in Panjabi turban and that too in a well-treated period war-drama!
