Superstar Shah Rukh Khan , who is currently shooting for his upcoming film Zero , will start work on his next Salute right after wrapping the Aanand L Rai directorial. Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan was the original choice for the film which is based on Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma. But the Dangal actor bowed out of the project much before the official announcement and then SRK entered the scene. After finalizing Badshah Khan, the makers were busy looking for the female lead opposite him. Now we hear that the part has gone to Kareena Kapoor Khan .

Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan were last seen in Ra.One , which released in 2011. If the actress does give her final nod to the project, it will be her first film with the actor in last seven years. We are now waiting for an official confirmation from the makers bankrolling the mega-budgeted project.

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan will shortly be seen Veere Di Wedding , also featuring Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar .
