After the success of Ki & Ka, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan will be next seen in the crime thriller Udta Punjab . The multi-starrer film will also feature Shahid Kapoor , Alia Bhatt and Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh in the lead. Kareena is paired opposite Diljit in the movie. In a recent media interaction, the gorgeous actress opened up about working with the Punjabi actor.

While talking about Diljit, who is making his Bollywood debut with this film, Kareena said:

"Our track is together in the film and I think he is the surprise package in the film. It is so exciting to be working with him. He is a big superstar in Punjab. People love him. He is a brilliant actor and a lovely person. Coming together of the two of us brings in newness and freshness. I am glad that a Sardarji is coming in a Hindi film for the first time. His Sardarji was a big hit. He kept talking to me about it. Now he is very excited about Sardarji 2 too."

Kareena further added about the film saying, "The film is set in the heartland of Punjab and belongs to a very different genre. It is a drug drama while being a thriller zone. It has been shot in such a real fashion by Abhishek. Moreover, the characters in the film are so real and so different that you cannot even imagine."

Udta Punjab features Kareena as a doctor, Diljit as a tough cop, Shahid as a desi rockstar and Alia as a Haryanvi hockey player. This Abhishek Chaubey ’s directorial film releases on 17 June, 2016.
