Kareena Essays A Mature Role In 'Udta Punjab'

Actress Kareena Kapoor's presence in the upcoming film 'Udta Punjab' has been a lot in news and is often seen compared to her character from 'Jab We Met' where she played the role of a Sikhni. But according to a leading daily, the actor's role is nothing close to the character Geet from JWM. In 'Udta Punjab' Kareena plays a mature, somber and edgy role.

Some parts of the Abhishek Chaubey's next will be shot in Amritsar while Kareena plays a Sikhni. The reports claim that she took Punjabi lessons from a Delhi Professor as she had to converse a lot in the language in the movie.

The film 'Udta Punjab' also features Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh. It is touted to be a narrative that contains four different tales.
