According to the source, the 40 year old filmmaker will be seen in a cameo in the film ' Hasee Toh Phasee ' . Karan is co producing this film along with veteran filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and his partners. However, the details of Karan's role has not been revealed yet. The film stars Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles.

Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as a leading man in this film and it is reported that Karan and Ranbir will have a direct conflict in this film which is a major highlight of ' Bombay Velvet '.
