Yesterday, Janhvi Kapoor , the daughter of veteran actress Sridevi , took to Instagram to thank Madhuri Dixit for stepping into the role which was earlier offered to her late mother. The newcomer wrote that the project was very close to her mother's heart and confirmed that it was in Abhishek Varman ’s upcoming directorial. However, Karan Johar , who is bankrolling the project under Dharma Productions , took no time in clarifying that the movie in question is not Shiddat .

"Some clarifications!!! Yes...we are honoured and humbled to have @MadhuriDixit on board for @abhivarman‘s next! NO, the film is NOT titled SHIDHAT! Yes, the film will Commence shoot in mid-April! The film’s final cast and credits will be announced soon!," Karan Johar wrote on his Twitter handle.

We hope that with Karan's statement, all speculations are put to rest once and for all.
