The film was supposed to feature Vidya Balan, but the rumours are rife that Vidya may opt out of this flick due to pregnancy. No official base has been yet provided for this news update.

The filmmaker Ghosh thus had to hunt for the actress with parallel skills to Vidya and he zeroed in on Kangana. Reportedly, Kangana Ranaut is going to star in Sujoy's next thriller. The actress is currently whipping the success of her recent hit film 'Queen'. The name of the film is 'Durga Rani Singh'. It seems the title 'Rani' is lucky for Kangana, as her last release 'Queen' implies rani in Hindi and her next is 'Revolver Rani'!
