Information and Broadcasting Ministry announced the winners of the 63rd National Film Awards yesterday. Bollywood diva Kangana Ranaut received the best actress award for her exceptional performance in the blockbuster Tanu Weds Manu Returns. This is her third National Award after Queen and Fashion.
Kangana is currently on vacations in her home town Himachal Pradesh with her family. In a recent interaction with a leading daily, the actress spoke about how her family reacted to her win.
Kangana said: “My mother started crying, because she got really overwhelmed. Rangoli (sister) was shaking with excitement. When I won my first National Award I got around 10 calls that day. Now, it’s amazing to see so many people rooting for me. I have so many people to celebrate with now, unlike earlier.”
