The year 2018 is itself the year of clashes and especially the month of April where some giant films will collide. As we know many big movies are coming in April 2018, the biggest clash might possibly take place between Rajinikanth ’s ‘ 2.0 ’ and Kamal Haasan ’s ‘ Vishwaroopam 2 ’. Rajini and team have been looking for the 27th April slot to release their much-awaited film ‘ 2.0 ’ but looks like Haasan also has his eye on the same date. Though the shooting of ‘ Vishwaroopam 2 ’ is still not finished, Haasan and team want their film to anyhow get released in the festival period of April. According to sources in the know, Kamal Haasan who is working round the clock to complete the film hopes to release his film in the first week of April. “But he won’t be ready in the first week, so he is looking at the last week of April. If Rajinikanth’s 2.0 also releases on April 27, so be it. Can’t be helped,” says the nonchalant source.

Kamal and Rajini are the two legends who have been in the industry for more than 4 decades. In the past, the two have worked together in several films and many a time, have also clashed together at the box office but this will be an unusual clash as high stakes are put on to make both the films.

In Kamal Haasan 's own words releasing their respective films on the same day didn't make commercial sense. Haasan had earlier said, “We've slowed down, but it's not because we've aged but because of budget constraints. It doesn't make sense for us to release our big-budget films on the same day at all.”

Though the release date of both the films has been not finalized yet, ‘ 2.0 ’ is more likely to get released on 27th April.
