Kajol would not do a film like The Dirty Picture

Kajol who has done diverse roles in her filmy career and have proved a lucky charm for most of the filmmakers have claimed that she would have never done a movie like 'The Dirty Picture'.

Kajol along with Karan Johar attended the third day of FICCI. When Karan asked Kajol whether she would have gone for a movie like 'The Dirty Picture', she denied saying, she would not do a movie like 'The Dirty Picture' as she had a husband and kids. She would not have been able to justify such a role. She explained that one needs certain mentality and ease to carry such a character.

When asked whether she was open to off-beat cinema like 'Kahaani', she answered that she follows her instincts to choose a script and see how comfortable she feels with the director. If she is getting a positive gut feeling about the story she will definitely go for it. She added that she would have done 'Kahaani' only if Sujoy Ghosh would have been able to sell it to her and also if she felt impressed with the director.

She further told that a good project and a poor director will make a mediocre film, but an average script and a good director can make a good film as he will put in his every effort. She does not mind out of the box movie but feels that there is a serious dearth of good tight script.
