For the last few years, Kajol has been extremely selective while signing any movie, but it hasn’t affected the superstardom of the actress even a bit. Her last Hindi film was Rohit Shetty ’s ‘ Dilwale ’ (2015) and this year, she did a Tamil film ‘Velaiilla Pattadhari 2’ (VIP 2) opposite Dhanush . Now, the 43-year-old actress is all set to do her next Hindi film, which will be directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by her hubby, Ajay Devgn . Kajol has starred movies of almost all genres, be it drama, comedy or a thriller one, she has nailed every role and now it is believed that she will be seen as a single mother who aspires to become a full-time singer in her next flick.

A source close to the project informed a leading daily, "Kajol plays the role of a young woman, who loves to sing. She aspires to become famous but is forced to get married instead. A turmoil in the relationship forces her to leave her husband and raise her child as a single parent. Later, she enhances her singing skills with encouragement from her son and eventually gets appreciated for her craft." The source further stated, "The team is currently looking for a suitable cast for the role of the son."

The movie is an adaptation of Anand Gandhi 's Gujarati play titled Beta, Kaagdo (Son, Crow). The makers of the film have purchased the rights to make the movie.
