Veteran filmmaker Sanjay Gupta who is currently enjoying the success of his recently released crime thriller ' Shootout At Wadala ' plans for his next 'Shootout'. The director who is currently on cloud nine is gearing up for the next film of 'Shootout' series. The film ' Shootout At Wadala ' was a prequel to Sanjay Gupta 's another crime thriller ' Shootout At Lokhandwala '.

As the grapevine says, the third film of the 'Shootout' series will be inspired by India's top notch encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar. The super-cop lost his battle with life while controlling the situation during the attacks of 26/11 in Mumbai. The brave man had gunned down total 80 anti -social people in his career.

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta is currently working on the script. The buzz is that, the director is planning to sign Junior Bacchan i.e. Abhishek Bachchan and macho man John Abraham for the lead roles in this yet to be titled hopeful venture. According to the reports, Abhishek will essay the role of late Salaskar and John will play the role of a super cop in this crime thriller. The reports also say that the film will feature only a few chapters of Salaskar's life and career.

Meanwhile, John and Abhishek who are already geared up for their ' Dostana 2 ' will start shooting for ' Dostana ' sequel from October 2013, as the source from Dharma Productions said.
