Janhvi Kapoor & Simmba PosterSome reports claim that initially, veteran actress Sridevi was not convinced about her daughter, Janhvi, playing the lead in the movie because the original film had a very limited role for the leading lady. However, when Karan Johar himself convinced the veteran actress that Jhanvi's screen time will be extended in the Hindi remake, Sridevi allowed her daughter to star in the movie.
Simmba is expected to mount floors soon. The film is slated to release on 28th December 2018.
