However, Salman Khan ’s Kick 2 is one such sequel that all the film enthusiasts are waiting for with the equal amount of eagerness and excitement. The project has been in the news for a long time now. While Salman Khan was always part of the sequel, there were reports that the makers were ambivalent about casting Jacqueline Fernandez in the second part. And if a fresh report published in one of the leading entertainment portals is to be believed, Jacqueline Fernandez has eventually been replaced by the leggy lass Deepika Padukone in the mega-budgeted project. If the report is true Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone will work together for the very first time.

According to sources, the makers wanted a fresh pairing for Kick 2 . Since Jacqueline had already worked with Salman before and is also doing her next with him, the makers thought of bringing Deepika Padukone onboard as she has never worked with Salman before.

As a source close to the development revealed to Bollywoodlife exclusively, “Deepika Padukone is being considered for Kick 2 with the film going on floors sometime next year. As Jacqueline and Salman are already working together in Race 3, it only makes sense to give the audience a fresh pairing. However, the final call is up to Sajid and Salman.”
