Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone , who has been receiving adulation from all corners ever since the release of her period film Padmaavat , gets honoured by Italian Consulate at an event held last evening. The ceremony, which saw many bigwigs in attendance, celebrated the long-standing collaboration of the Indian Film Industry with the Italian Consulate. The Padmaavat star was felicitated by the Italian Consulate for her outstanding contribution to Hindi cinema.

The thunderous success of Padmaavat has reinstated the fact that Deepika Padukone is the reigning queen of Bollywood. She is the only Indian actress who boasts of seven 100 crore movies to her credit. She has also given a hattrick of 200 crore films with Padmaavat joining the elite club within days of its release.

The actress is now gearing up to start work on her next project which is being helmed by Vishal Bharadwaj . Also starring Irrfan Khan , the film sees Padukone in the role of a mafia queen.
