Dharma Productions ’ upcoming film Shiddat is making news for its cast shuffling. Earlier, we’ve updated that Shiddat will be a period drama and the lead pair will be Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt ! But as per latest updates, Aditya Roy Kapur has been roped in to play brother to Varun’s character and will also be a lead in the film! And as the sources have confirmed “The character of Alia will be the bone of contention between two brothers. So it will be a love triangle among the three characters!”

As far as the characters of Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt ’s are concerned, sources revealed, “Since Varun and Aditya will be playing brothers in the film, Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt will play their parents and two brothers will have a strained relationship with them throughout the film. The narration is likely to have grim shade to the characters!”

The plot of Shiddat seems quite identical to the film Kapoor & Sons , which was directed by Shakun Batra ! But since, Abhishek Varman , who previously directed Alia and Arjun Kapoor in romantic film 2 States , we can hope an amazing film. Shiddat is set during the Indo-Pak Partition era. We can expect Verman would bring something new to the table!
