Actor Sanjay Dutt , who is making his comeback to films with Omung Kumar’s Bhoomi, will team up with the maker for another film titled Malang. The actor will soon start working on the project which will be helmed by debutant Aarambhh Singh who assisted Omung in Bhoomi. The romantic thriller film will be set against the backdrop of Varanasi. Though nothing much has been revealed about the film by its makers, latest reports suggest that Sanjay will be seen playing an Aghori Sadhu in it, like those spotted at the Kumbh Mela. The actor has played many characters in his long acting career, but the audience has never seen him in a character as diverse as this.

Talking about the leading lady of the film, the makers were initially planning to rope in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on Sanjay Dutt ’s recommendation, but industry insiders say that well-known television actress Ankita Lokhande has bagged the lead opposite Dutt. An official announcement is awaited, though.

Malang will be produced in collaboration with T-Series ’ Bhushan Kumar and Sandeep Singh and Omung Kumar of Legend Studios. After Bhoomi, this will be Sanjay Dutt ’s second film with T-Series & Legend Studios. Malang is scheduled to release next year.
