It is rare that an unusually paired Jodi works wonder and impress the classes and the masses, Jodi of Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone is one of them! After impressing everyone with their quirky chemistry in Piku, fans were left asking for more of this pairing, but there wasn’t any news for it! And now, Irrfan and Deepika will be seen together in Vishal Bharadwaj ’s next film, but this time they wouldn’t be paired with a cute-heart-warming story since the film would be directed by first time director Honey Trehan !

More about the story of the film, it will be a total ‘Femme Fatale’ storyline, a part of S Hussain Zaidi’s novel, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai!’ And Deepika’s character is that of a feared female don Rahima Khan aka Sapna Didi, who came up with master plan to kill don Dawood Ibrahim to avenge the death of her husband. At first, Deepika was doubtful about working with first-timer Honey Trehan but the script actually turned her maybe into a yes! The team will start shooting for this yet to be titled film when the actress will be done with the schedule of Padmavati .

While speaking about Deepika and Irrfan, Vishal said, “Deepika had been persuading me to write the script and make a film on ‘Femme Fatale’. And I’m happy that she loved the script and agreed to work with Honey on this.” And speaking about Irrfan, “He is an incredible actor! I’m looking forward to the two of them coming together in this film. Honey has been with me for than 15 years. I am sure he will add interesting nuances to the script.
