BollywoodMDB has been updating our readers about the upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu . The film has been in news regarding its casting. There were reports that actress Katrina Kaif has been roped in for the film, later Shraddha Kapoor’s name came in the forefront for the film. Pushing aside all the rumors, the makers clarified that Katrina and Shraddha are not approached for the film.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, co-producer, Prerna Arora, said, “We have only spoken to Ileana so far. It is a strong role of a lawyer with intense scenes and we are casting now.”

The director said in a statement, “The subject of the film is very relevant to our times. Diwali makes it just the right occasion for us to shed light on a subject that needs to be discussed. We look forward to making a film that is both commercially entertaining and encourages a social conversation.”
