Superstar Aamir Khan , who is going all out to promote his upcoming film Secret Superstar , has been part of many notable films in his career. One of such films was Sarfarosh which released in 1999 and was a great box office success. Directed by John Matthew Matthan , the film revolved around a police officer and his struggle to stop cross-border terrorism. Aamir Khan was seen in the character of a tough and no-nonsense cop, Ajay Rathore. Almost after two decades of its release, Bollywood is buzzing with the news that director Matthew is planning a sequel to the film. When Aamir Khan was asked about the same, he said, “Oh, it's getting made? I didn't know. How wonderful! That is great! I would love to play ACP Rathod."

The superstar was speaking on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival in Mumbai. His Secret Superstar co-star Zaira Wasim accompanied the actor at the ceremony.

Directed by Advait Chandan , Secret Superstar tells the story of a child who wants to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer. Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, the film is all set to release on 19th October.
