Initially the TV screening of Ekta Kapoor\'s film \'The Dirty Picture\' was banned by the Information and Broadcasting (I&B) ministry on the ground of containing bold content. The ministry considered it too risqu to for the prime time telecast and hence had suggested that it could be screened only post 11 pm.

In spite of getting U/A certificate by the censor board, Vidya Balan starrer \'The Dirty Picture\' did not get screened on TV at the prime time. But now the good news for the filmmaker is that after additional cuts as suggested by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, the film has been cleared for TV screening. Reportedly, the makers of the film had approached the Central Board of Film Certification and agreed to comply with its suggestions.

So now the TV audiences will get to watch Vidya Balan starrer \'The Dirty Picture\' but with nearly 59 cuts! Yes, the makers have apparently made 59 cuts in this movie, which approximately amounts to a total of 3 minutes and 10 seconds of editing.
