Hindi remake of Sairat ft. Jhanvi Kapoor & Ishan Khattar now has a title!

It is a known fact that Sridevi’s elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor is set to make her Bollywood debut soon with Karan Johar’s next. Jhanvi will star opposite Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishan Khattar. The said film is the official Hindi remake of the Marathi blockbuster film Sairat by director Nagraj Manjule featuring Akash and Rinku Rajguru.

According to the latest reports, the upcoming film is based in Haryana where honour killing is a common practice and the political scenario is worse. The remake with Jhanvi and Ishan has been titled Dhadak, as per the reports. Although, there have been no official confirmations made regarding the same. The Marathi film was based in the interiors of Maharashtra wherein a backward class poor boy falls for an upper-class rich girl who is the daughter of a politician.

The film is in its early stages of developments and will go on floors in December. It has been scheduled to release next year.
