After having a decent run at the box office in Hindi belt, actress Anushka Sharma ’s recent release Pari is all set to have a Tamil remake. “Pari became a success because of its script and the willingness of a superstar to take a huge risk to back content that was aimed at redefining the horror genre in India. Everyone has taken notice of this gutsy decision. Pari will soon have a Tamil remake!” reveals a well-placed source from the industry.

According to the same source, the makers down south have loved the movie and now they are looking at buying the remake rights as soon as possible. “Quality horror stories work in this market and the producers here have loved Pari. The offer on the table is a big one too and only adds to the revenue of Pari. An announcement is expected to happen as soon as the deal is locked. It is a huge success for Anushka,” added the source.

Talking about the casting of the film, the makers have yet not decided anything. Possibility is there that they first want to buy the remake rights before beginning the casting process.
