Hasee Toh Phasee is based on Aaina?

According to a buzz, Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer 'Hasee Toh Phasee' is said to have somewhat basic premise as the film 'Aaina' of the year 1993. The movie 'Hasee Toh Phasee' is a film with love triangle comprising of Siddharth Malhotra, Parineeti Chopra and Adah Sharma in lead roles.

Reportedly, all the three stars are playing special roles. Siddharth Malhotra will be portraying the character of Jackie Shroff, while Parineeti Chopra would be seen in Juhi Chawla's role. Amrita Singh's character would be essayed by Adah Sharma.

A close source explained that Siddharth Malhotra's character in the movie is sketched in such a way that it will showcase his strong points. The movie commences with Siddharth and Adah as a couple from last eight years. Parineeti enters in the movie and Siddharth falls in love with her. Siddharth plays a middle-class Punjabi munda from Delhi.

'Hasee Toh Phasee' is a joint venture by Dharma Productions and Phantom Productions. The film is directed by Vinil Mathew and is produced by Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar.
