We all are aware of the ‘Padmavati’ controversy. Amidst the political issue around the film, the CBFC brought its 68-day submission policy to light. The Board highlighted that films must be submitted for reviewing 68 days prior to the release date. Due to which Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ has been postponed to an indefinite date. Now a rumour suggests that Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ has become the latest victim of the CBFC’s new policy. Reportedly it is believed that TZH will also be postponed to a future date as director Ali Abbas Zafar failed to submit the film to CBFC on the asked date. Though no such news has been confirmed by anyone, Zafar said all these rumours are baseless and his film will definitely hit the screens on the scheduled date.
Tiger Zinda Hai Poster & Ali Abbas ZafarWhen asked about the submission process, Abbas gave a statement to a leading daily, “We have submitted the film [for certification] a long time ago. We should get our certificate soon. The only work that's pending is the addition of a few finishing touches to the final edit. The fine-tuning of the product goes on until the last day."
Well, Bhai’s film has never been postponed in the past and we guess Zafar has assured the same this time as well. As of now, it has been confirmed by the director himself that TZH will hit screens on 22nd December 2017.
