After signing Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior , a biopic on Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare who is said to have won the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670 by scaling an impregnable fort, superstar Ajay Devgn has reportedly given his nod to star in a new project to be directed by Rajkumar Gupta , who is known for making films like Aamir and No One Killed Jessica . The project has yet not got any name.

If reports are to be believed, Gupta was supposed to work on another project with Sidharth Malhotra in the lead. The film was a true-life thriller and was set to mount floors soon. But now, the director has put that film on the backburner to work with Ajay Devgn in a new film. However, no official confirmation has come out as yet, neither from the makers’ nor the actor’s side. A leading newspaper, however, reports that dates and other modalities are being worked out with the actor. As soon as the dates are locked, the makers will start shooting for the project.

The yet-to-be-titled film will be bankrolled by Kumar Mangat .
