Last year, when Bhushan Kumar announced his association with superstar Akshay Kumar in the form of a biopic on his late father and T-Series founder, Gulshan Kumar , film enthusiasts were really excited. However, almost immediately, reports started doing the rounds that the project has hit the roadblock. Now we hear that Kumar has quit the film. He has reportedly returned the signing amount to the makers. While no one knows the exact reason why the superstar bowed out of the film, many say it is because of his busy schedule. Buzz has it that Aamir Khan has come onboard to revive the project.

Reportedly, director Subhash Kapoor is still working on the script. Everything will be locked only after the script is ready. A source also says that Aamir is co-producing the film. “Aamir will produce this biopic, which itself is an important development. Whether he will play the lead is not yet decided. No other details are known as of now.”

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is currently looking forward to the release of his film ‘ Pad Man ’. Aamir is shooting for Yash Raj Films’ Thugs Of Hindostan .
