The noted filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is soon arriving with his much-talked about project Mirzya that will see two newcomers, Harshavardhan Kapoor and Saiyami Kher debuting in Bollywood. The filmmaker Mehra prefers narrating a story through the past and present and then merging the two visions.

The movie Mirzya, is said to revolve around the folklore of Mirza and Sahibaan's love saga. The tale shuttles from past to contemporary days and the film Mirzya depicts two eras, reportedly. Around three decades ago the filmmaker Mehra read the story of Mirza and Sahibaan and he was curious to know why Sahibaan had broken Mirza's arrows while he was battling her family.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra said that the story of Mirza and Sahibaan is a folklore and it's not a real one. It has multiple interpretations and versions. One tale in this flick belongs to different century and the other is set in contemporary era. Finally, the lines blur and the story combines, said the filmmaker.

Mirzya hits the screens on October 7
