Last night our desi hip-hop singer, Hard Kaur , bagged her first Europe Music Awards (EMA) in the Best India Act category for her single, ‘All Stars Anthem’. The 38 years old singer was overwhelmed by the victory and when asked about the same by a leading daily, she said, "It feels fantastic to win this award because it shows that if you believe in yourself and work hard, anything is possible. After pushing as hard as I have for more than two decades, the award feels deserving.”

Kaur revealed her challenging journey, "Many music companies refused to support me because there's a misconception about my capability. I had to fund it from my pocket." She stood vindicated when the song from the album, The Rising Mixtape, became a chartbuster. "It released on my label, Future Records, and went to No 1 on iTunes the day it released." The singer further said, "I've never received an award from the Indian music industry. My award has always been the love I receive from my fans."
