    'Happy New Year' release gets postponed!

    Shah Rukh Khan postponed the release date of 'Happy New Year' by a day, as now the film will hit the theatres on September 24.

    Yes, you read it right- ' Happy New Year ' release has got postponed. Earlier it was slated to release this year on Diwali on 23rd September, but the latest progression reveals it to be getting delayed by a day. Now, the makers will be releasing it on September 24.

    As per the sources, director Farah Khan wanted ' Happy New Year ' to be a full-proof Diwali release but the lead actor Shah Rukh Khan called it off. According to him, people are not very keen to step into the theatres on the first day of Diwali. Mostly they prefer to stay at home for Laxmi Puja on that day.

    Last year's Diwali witnessed Rakesh Roshan bringing up ' Krrish 3 ' on Sunday November 3, which earned him the huge profit but SRK believes otherwise and don't want to take any chances with the box-office numbers.
