The pen name of this man was Mastram and he used to write books on the topic of sex that was not discussed openly. The film ' Mastram ' is a fictional biography of this man, who was the legend of porn writing.

Mastram 's books were available at roadside shops and railway stations in North India during 80's and 90's. ' Mastram ' is directed by Akhilesh Jaiswal . Talking about the film, the director stated that "Mastram was not a bad guy. So what if he wrote porn? I have shown him as a good man, a good family man who wants to be a writer. He tries to follow his dreams, but with financial burden and people rejecting his other writings, he eventually starts writing porn,"
