Here comes the official first look poster of Diljit Dosanjh ’s upcoming film titled as Soorma ! The film is a biopic on the life of Hockey Legend Sandeep Singh who was the former captain of the Indian hockey team and faced a major injury in 2006, which made him get out of the team. But, he made the most successful comeback and made India one of the top contenders in the sport. Diljit essays the title role while actor Angad Bedi plays Diljit’s elder brother’s role. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu s the female lead. Check out the poster here:

All the three actors essay the role of hockey players and hence have done extensive training for the role. Sandeep Singh himself has trained Diljit for the character. The film narrates the greatest comeback story, the tagline reads: #DontLetThisStoryPass.

With this film, actress Chitrangda Singh turns producer! She co-produced the film along with Deepak Singh and Sony Pictures. Written and Directed by Shaad Ali, the film Soorma is set to release on June 29, 2018.
