BollywoodMDB earlier reported our readers out Aanand L Rai’s upcoming film Happy Bhaag Jayegi Returns . Pushing aside all the speculations regarding the movie, the makers announced that the film is very much in the making and will star Diana Penty along with a new addition Sonakshi Sinha as the female leads. Now, reports suggest that the male lead opposite Sonakshi has been locked. If sources are to be believed then Punjabi Singer-actor Jassie Gill has been roped in by the makers for the upcoming rom-com.

The film is currently in the shooting phase. The makers haven’t made an official announcement yet but sources reveal that director Mudassar Aziz is impressed with Jassie’s audition and is keen to work with him. Also, Gill was spotted in Mumbai and hence the speculations and rife. There is a possibility that both Sonakshi and Jassie will croon in the movie. The original film Happy Bhaag Jayegi was a fun story of a runaway bride who lands in Pakistan.

The prequel film had an ensemble star cast of Abhay Deol, Jimmy Sheirgill and Ali Fazal along with Diana and, they all will also feature in Happy Bhag Jayegi Returns . Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is presented by Eros International and Colour Yellow Productions Pvt Ltd.
