In a recent media interaction with a leading daily, Swara shared her experience of preparing for the role. She said, “When I went to watch a show in a small village in UP, that’s the first time I realized that they aren’t just erotic singers. They are also fantastic dancers. I remember calling up Sandiip ji (Kapur, producer) from there and told him we must a choreographer on board. This was just a month before we went into shoot.”

The actress travelled the country to understand the lifestyle of women who sing erotic songs for a living. Swara even shopped for the clothes for her character from the markets in Aarah.

Directed by Avinash Das, the film will be released on March 24. It will clash with another widely promoted film Phillauri.
