Finally, CBFC Passes Lipstick Under My Burkha With 'A' Certificate!!

After a lot of delays and facing trouble, the film Lipstick Under My Burkha has finally been passed by the Film Certification Board. The CBFC has cut down a few sexually explicit content which turned into a controversy after the makers approached the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal.

Manmohan Sarin, head of FCAT found merit in this film and asked CBFC to pass the film with 'A' certificate. Prior to this, film producer Prakash Jha approached Revising and Examining Committe but in vain.

CBFC removed some long duration scenes as the film focused on women's sexual fantasies.This movie stars Konkona Sen Sharma, Aahana Kumar and is directed by Alankrita Shrivastava.

The film is going to hit the theatres on 26th October, 2017.
