Exclusive details about Akshay Kumar, Amit Sadh & Kunal Kapoor’s Gold!

It is a known fact that actor Akshay Kumar who is currently busy promoting Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, will be next seen in a sports movie titled Gold. The forthcoming film also stars Kunal Kapoor and Amith Sadh in key roles. The latest update regarding the film claims that the filming of the movie will soon commence in July with Akshay joining the cast. Actors Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, and Sunny Kaushal have already begun preparations for the movie in the UK.

The actors have been training with multiple hockey coaches and they also got a special training schedule with former Indian captain, Sandeep Singh. According to the reports, the makers are hosting auditions for the actors who will essay international players from the rival teams. It will surely be interesting to see a film with such talented actors coming together for a sports genre.

The film is said to be a fictional take on series of events happened during 1948 Olympics. The crucial journey of 12 years in the history of the Indian sports will be presented aptly. It revolves around the theme of India winning its 1st Gold medal in hockey as a free nation in 1948 Olympics.

Gold is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, it is set to release on August 15, 2018.
