Dulquer Salmaan to start shooting for his debut Hindi film from next week!

Touted to be one of Malyalam Cinema's biggest superstars, Dulquer Salmaan is all set to enter Bollywood. The actor, who enjoys a huge fan following down south and has several blockbuster films in his repertoire, is making his Hindi film debut with a movie also starring the very talented Irrfan Khan in an important role. The film is being bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala.

The untitled project will also mark the directorial debut of well-known screenwriter Akarsh Khurana. Akarsh is considered to be one of the most prolific writers from the current crop of writers in the industry. He has blockbuster films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and 2 States to his credit.

As per a source, the film is a light-hearted comedy that will see Dulquer and Irrfan as friends on a road trip. Reportedly, Dulquer will commence shooting for the untitled movie next week onwards in Kochi. Other important details like who has been approached to play the female lead and if there will be two heroines in the film are kept under wrap.
