    'Delhi Belly' fame Akshat Varma to direct a film

    Akshat Varma, the writer of 'Delhi Belly' will soon be venturing into direction with his first flick that will be having Mumbai at its backdrop.

    Writer Akshat Varma harvested huge applause for the screenplay of comic caper ' Delhi Belly ' (2011) featuring Imran Khan . Reportedly, now Varma is geared up for his directorial debut. The earlier flick of Akshat Varma has the capital Delhi at its backdrop and this time, he is planning to develop a tale with having Mumbai city at the centre of the film.

    Some of the close sources explained that the movie will be containing similar type of cheeky dialogues like ' Delhi Belly '. This time, Varma will be developing a black comedy or can be called as a noire-flick. Disney UTV would be sponsoring the movie.

    Akshat Varma verified the news mentioning that this time, he has selected Mumbai as the backdrop of the film. However, the movie will be entirely diverse in its concept than ' Delhi Belly '. Varma stated that it is too early to talk more about this project as he is currently working on the writing part of the film.
