Deepika Padukone has made a name for the choices of roles she played in her course of career, so be it Bollywood or Hollywood! And though her kitty is already full with the film offers, now Deepika will be essaying a real life character in her upcoming film Sapna Didi, and Irrfan Khan will also be playing pivotal role in it. The film will be produced by Kriarj Entertainment and directed by Honey Trehan . And as per the early reports by Bollywood Hungama , the shooting for the film will start from January 2018 as Deepika is quite packed with the schedule and her upcoming films!

The Sapna Didi will be a crime thriller based on the Mafia Queens of Mumbai by investigative journalist S Hussain Zaidi. It is a story of an intrinsically simple girl turned a heartless gangster with the sole mission to avenge the murder of her husband with whoever comes in her way. The character of Irrfan Khan is intriguingly a womaniser, initially lusted for Sapna Didi. And eventually, he decided to help her in her mission. Although it might seem familiar with the plotline of Apoorva Lakhia ’s Haseena Parkar , but the character of Irrfan makes it very distinct.

As for now, the music part of Sapna Didi is in the process! Whereas Deepika is following the shooting schedule of Padmavati and soon she’ll be done, later she will join the Sapna Didi crew!
