In the season of biopics illumining the silver screen, the next biopic in the wing is of badminton champion Saina Nehwal. The ace filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is planning to make this biopic and he is considering Deepika Padukone to step into the shoes of Saina Nehwal.

The Olympic Bronze winner Saina Nehwal expressed her views on her biopic at an event by saying that only Deepika Padukone can provide justice to her onscreen image, as she knows badminton very well. Deepika's popularity will have an extra edge to the role and the audience can connect easily with the character. Nehwal, who is keen on her biopic, also added that Deepika knows the strokes and bends as well as all the actions in the game. She has also seen Deepika playing badminton and she was best at it, says Nehwal.

The badminton player Nehwal is not yet ready to face the camera, but intends to make the people aware of the sport and her game. She said that if this movie happens, it will depict all the struggle she had went through to achieve all this.
