Getting a spot in the glorious 300 crores club is not a new achievement for Hindi films but Padmaavat entering this club has an additional significance to it. While there have been other films who have achieved this milestone before in Indian cinema, it is for the first time that a woman led film has bagged this unique feat.
Padmaavat, a story that revolved around the unmatched beauty and honour of medieval India’s Queen Padmavati, had Deepika Padukone at the helm of the affair. The actress received immense adulation, appreciation and critical acclaim for her top level performance.

The film was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it also featured Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh and it’s the first film in the career of all the concerned people of Padmaavat to cross the 300 crores mark.
