Superstar Deepika Padukone has been in news for her upcoming Hollywood film XXX and also her Bollywood venture Padmavati . Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s movie also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in key roles. In a recent media interaction, Deepika opened up about the film and also spoke about her challenging role.

Deepika said, “There are so many times when you want to do a particular film and you try everything under the sun to make it work, but it doesn’t. This one just fell in my lap, and it’s so exciting that I have been given an opportunity to play such a powerful role. Padmini is someone who is worshipped by so many people. [The film] is something that I am extremely proud of, and I feel very lucky that something like this came my way. It’s going to be a very tough six months.”

Padmavati has been scheduled to release on 17 November, 2017.
