Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s Padmavati has been facing a lot of obstacles in its making as it concerns a sensitive and historic subject. The sets of the film have been faced attacks not once but twice, resulting in huge losses. Although, Bhansali and team are focused to release the film on its scheduled date this year, there are still rumours about the delay.

In a statement, when asked about the film, Deepika said, “Every film has its own sort of journey and if it is meant to happen it will happen. As far as I know Padmavati is definitely scheduled to release in November this year but if life has different plans for us and this film then let’s see. If not Padmavati then maybe some other film.”

Padmavati also stars Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Aditi Rao Hydari in key roles. The film is set to release on 17 November, 2017.
