Deepika: A Special Invitee To Kolkata

Deepika Padukone's last release 'Piku' was a blockbuster hit and was set in the city of Kolkata. The plot of the film revolved around a hardcore Bengali family. After the release of the movie, Deepika got several fan mails and was flooded with invitations to visit Kolkata and meet them personally.

Deepika has apparently obliged to the requests made by the fans, says a leading daily. The actress decided to take out some time from her busy schedule and visit the city. Miss Padukone travelled to Kolkata earlier this week and also attended a reception thrown in her honour by a Bengali family. She met her fans and interacted with the movie buffs in the city. She acknowledges the contribution they have made to make her film super successful.
